The staff, nurses, techs, cleaning people, counselors, chefs, and everyone else are incredibly compassionate, making a tough process much more manageable. The facility is top-notch, with comfortable accommodations, excellent food, and a welcoming atmosphere. The treatment programs are comprehensive and tailored to individual needs, ensuring that everyone receives the best possible care. Everyone is knowledgeable and genuinely dedicated to helping you on your recovery journey. I've been to multiple treatment centers, but Avatar stands out for its exceptional service and results. But the staff are out of this world and would do anything for their patients to keep them feeling safe and at home. I've been to plenty of court ordered treatments, and this is the first place I've been to, that the owner bends over backwards to help each client individually. Most clients are in desperate need of help, while others just don't want to be homeless, yet it doesn't matter here. I came to Avatar very angry due to my belongings being stolen by staff at a previous treatment center, to the point of almost being discharged from Avatar. The owner understood what I was going through, and gave me a chance. I'm writing this review to let people know that this is a place that all staff truly care about making a difference in a client's life. This is NOT your standard facility where insurance money Trumps all. People have been on scholarships after their insurance refused to pay for treatment here. Pinal didn't want to kick people out that didn't have anywhere to go because he wouldn't be able to live with himself if something happened to them, so Avatar ate the bill. The staff here especially the counselors, always made sure to tell all clients to be active in their own recovery. Nothing is handed you you in the "Real World", impartcularly the clients' own Recovery! They're steadfast how everyone must work each day on it and try to motivate themselves inside & outside of groups. That's all Avatar cares about! They've helped me flourish firsthand, especially in ways I've only hoped for. They offered me a good discharge plan that set me up for future success because I stayed active in my Recovery, therefore, I was able to keep growing. Nobody wants to do continued treatment or live in a halfway house, but you have to humble yourself somewhere down the line before it's too late. If you are in need of help and want to make similar changes the way I did, and are willing to "WORK" for it, then Avatar is the start you need! I have over 2 years clean and financed my first brand new car. It's almost fully paid off within a year. I was referred here by a longtime friend that worked here and he said this place offers clients more than any other place on top of doing good treatment, you just have to find a therapist that you mesh with. I loved it here so much that I’m going to try out their Outpatient program. I want to thank Andrew for helping me get in the door. The nurses and doctors for helping me get through a rough detox, and the caring techs that were their every step of the way. Specifically i want to Thank nurse Steph & Rebecca, i really appreciate your caring help. And thank you Alex & Donna the 2 techs that helped me the most! And thank you Andrew for getting me a haircut from a real street batber and taking me for nails. Something i never thought i’d do in treatment and never did before! I highly recommend Avatar for its luxurious facility, caring & empathetic staff and an owner willing to give you more time if you need it regardless if your insurance is willing to pay! I’ve seen people give 1-star reviews and lie about their experience and they had no insurance and weren’t paying cash. Talk about entitled & ungrateful!!! I however, am very grateful and appreciative of every moment I spent there receiving life-changing help! The staff was so supporting from day one and never made me feel judged. They gave real education about alcoholism, not just lectures — it actually helped me understand what I was dealing with. All of the staff were so kind and deeply cared about my recovery; management, counselors, nurses, techs, the kitchen staff, and the custodial crew all were exceptional. Every group session was educational, whether it was the lesson plan that the counselor had prepared, or the insights learned from others going through the program. My brother was referred here by a family friend that is contracted at Avatar. We trusted his suggestion since my family has known him since our time in school together and we knew he wouldn’t steer us wrong. Everyone at Avatar was fantastic. It really seems like their staff just wakes up happy to go to work and help struggling people in this world. They helped my brother get clean and he loved it so much he went to their Outpatient program. I’ve never heard of a rehab that lets you keep your phone or brings in a barber or hair stylist for the clients, but it works for Avatar! It’s a brand new facility that has mostly single private rooms. They have a brand new gym and offer many holistic programs.
