They have helped me through some of the toughest times in my life and most likely saved it. I would recommend anyone seeking treatment to reach out to this organization. They answer any questions you have and are extremely accommodating. They also have an amazing cooking staff who prepare the best meals and if you do not like what is on the menu they will make you what you would like. They also clean your clothes, fold them, and put them away for you while you are attending programs throughout the day. The rooms and facility itself are very clean. Came to Avatar for treatment with substantial expectations after my last treatment center but they were absolutely surpassed! The place is fantastic! I felt I was treated with respect by all stuff from admin to counselors, doctors & nurses across the board. Everyone focuses on what matters and what makes patients comfortable. Notable highlights would have to include being taken for mani/pedis, equine therapy and the FOOD. So let me start off by saying this is a great program. That staff is friendly and goes above and beyond for all of their clients. The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars is because a staff member (Andrew) had specifically asked for my phone and left a review of this place himself on my behalf. I want to thank the awesome workers that made this such a great stay. Specifically, Marissa, Aneri, Rebecca, Sara, Katie, Steve and Becca though I didn't talk to her much she's an awesome art teacher. The place is all brand new, amazing food and staff that actually cares and wants to see you do well afterwards. Thanks everyone, don't take this the wrong way but I hope to never see you in this setting again. I dont much to say that this is truly the best rehab that I've been they treat you like a human being with love like it should be on every place. Avatar is the best rehab I've ever been to! The amenities and accommodations are by far the best I've ever experienced! I read the reviews prior to coming, and almost all of them had nothing but good things to say about this place. The staff really do take care of you and help you take care of any problem or pending issues that you may have, so that you can fully focus on your treatment. This is definitely a place I would recommend for somebody struggling with alcoholism, addiction or any mental health disorders. Coming from the experience of being stuck in Florida for 8 miserably years, to the holistic haven and atmosphere Avatar presented truly changed my life. I always had an action-oriented work ethic willing to do everything that put me in a position to succeed in treatment, but also upon discharge, and was always set up for failure in Florida. Here at Avatar, I volunteered to help clean at night with the owner's wife, did any outdoor work that needed to be done, cleaned up the basement after renovation, while also working on my Recovery and treatment with my therapists Curtis & Ed. Everyone saw me come in angry because the immoral place I left at Morelife, whose staff stole 85% of my clothes and 100% of my bathroom products. The owner at Avatar Pinal, did everything in his power to help right Morelife's wrong and contacted people to help replace the stolen stuff. From that moment on, my attitude and willingness to be in treatment medically changed! That's when I started going to groups and working with my Counselor during our one-on-one sessions. That's when I really started volunteering for anything staff needed help with and humbling myself to ask for help when needed. And for most of my stay I was stuck with a roommate that was not the most hygienic. I was finally moved to a single private room with its own bathroom, and I couldn't have been more grateful at that time! I was here during Christmas and decorated the entire facility myself and put 3 different Christmas trees up. Hence, Christmas is my favorite and in my opinion, the best Holiday! Avatars accommodations were also very surprising and welcoming. They took us Allen to an activity every week, and sometimes two. They had a barber that came in every 2 weeks, so a haircut could at least help us feel better about ourselves for a short while. The food was extremely delicious when factoring in that I was in her rehab facility. Nonetheless, it was absolutely restaurant quality! Every staff member Fair whether it was BHT's, nurses & Doctors, counselors, or people in admissions... it seemed everyone enjoyed their job and coming into work to help the next suffering addict and alcoholic get better in their life. This was absolutely a fantastic experience I didn't have in my many years being stuck going from rehab to rehab. What really changed my life was that Avatar set me up with a tremendously opportunistic discharge plan where I lived and managed a halfway house while attending iop. So I gained additional clean time, and continued the work I started in rehab. Not all the people that were in the house with me were able to stay clean & sober, but thankfully I was. I started working and still have the same job years later. I'm very thankful to everyone at Avatar that played a role in my treatment no matter how big or small, you made a significant difference in my life for the better! I'm writing this review years later to hopefully show the newcomer that staying clean and sober for a lengthy period of time is possible for you! Surround yourself around positively influential people that are like-minded and goal oriented. Having a sponsor, home group, and people that understand your struggles will only benefit you in the end and help keep you accountable daily! I absolutely would recommend Avatar to anyone looking to change their life, but also a place that treats you like an actual human being and not an insurance policy number!
