Our licensed facility operates a specialized Post-Traumatic Growth (PTG) program within a clinically managed, high-intensity ASAM 3.5 residential stabilization framework. Led by trauma-informed therapists, this integrated curriculum delivers minimums of 5 weekly group hours and 2 individual counseling hours utilizing EMDR and somatic therapies. Operating on a secure 10-acre campus, we provide continuous psychiatric monitoring to safely manage co-occurring trauma and substance use disorders.
Trauma leaves biological and psychological marks that go far deeper than words—but with specialized clinical support, trauma processing can become a turning point for profound personal growth and long-term behavioral stabilization. Our Post-Traumatic Growth (PTG) program represents a specialized trauma recovery curriculum operating within a clinically managed, high-intensity ASAM 3.5 residential treatment setting. This advanced environment is designed specifically for individuals whose trauma-related disorders and chronic stress are intertwined with substance use disorders.
Clients enrolled in our PTG curriculum receive a minimum of five (5) hours per week of dedicated, trauma-specific group therapy facilitated by experienced, certified trauma-informed therapists. Clinical treatment integrates evidence-based and body-centered modalities to regulate hyper-aroused nervous systems:
This integrative approach allows clients to process trauma safely while building emotional regulation, insight, and coping skills.
Because complex trauma alters neurotransmitter production and compromises core chemical baselines, every client receives an immediate, comprehensive psychiatric evaluation within hours of entering our Ringwood facility. This advanced medical assessment is executed directly by an on-staff psychiatric Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) or board-certified Medical Doctor (MD).
Continuous psychiatric monitoring occurs throughout the residential stay to ensure medical safety, manage severe symptoms, balance mood variations, and coordinate precise clinical care as a unified multi-disciplinary team.
Our private 10-acre campus addresses trauma on both an individual and systemic level, ensuring that environmental safety reinforces active behavioral therapy.
Because trauma impacts both cellular memory and long-term behavioral health, our program includes structured holistic and experiential therapies to promote immediate grounding and physical safety. Clients participate in weekly scheduled sessions of trauma-informed yoga, restorative sound baths, and mindfulness-based somatic practices to accelerate the repair of nervous system regulation.
Clients receive two (2) hours of individual therapy per week, offering a completely confidential and supportive space to gently address past trauma, develop resilient coping strategies, and update an individualized, trauma-informed treatment plan. Individual counseling is paced intentionally by our clinicians, prioritizing patient consent, physical safety, and behavioral empowerment.
Our organization has intentionally engineered The Sanctuary—a dedicated, highly secure, and inviting environment used exclusively by clients enrolled in our PTG track. The Sanctuary is where individuals gather for intensive trauma groups and therapeutic workshops, delivering a calm, trigger-free setting that fosters deep interpersonal trust, absolute emotional safety, and peer connection.
From the initial intake week, each client’s primary clinician and case manager collaborate directly with the individual to build a thoughtful aftercare plan. This ensures a smooth transition into a trauma-informed step-down track or regional continuum blueprint, supporting continued healing long after residential care concludes. This methodology is supported by our facility-wide trauma-informed culture; all staff members undergo continuous training in trauma principles to ensure every individual is treated with dignity and profound respect.
